Ceramic Coatings

Afterburner offers ceramic coating for a thermal barrier. It can withstand surface temperatures up 2000F, and is ideal for reducing the temperate under the hood as well as the temperature of the manifold itself. The coating keeps the heat in the manifold, which will increase exhaust gas velocity. This will reduce back pressure and reduce fuel contamination caused by reversion.

Ceramic CoatingOur most popular coating is the High Polish. It’s a near chrome finish, which offers high corrosion protection and is an excellent thermal barrier. It can withstand surface temperatures up to 1300F and will give you the look and functionality you want while extending the life of the part. If High Polish is desired but your surface temperature exceeds 1300F, an insulating base coat can be applied. This will let the High Polish withstand temperature of 2000F +.

We also offer a Satin Coatings. It offers all the benefits and protection of the High Polish but is able to withstand temperature of 2000F+. It’s available in white, black, and cast grey, which is ideal for restorers that want an original dark cast appearance.

Both of these coatings are ideal for reducing surface temperature, enhancing appearance, and protecting against chemical corrosion on all exhaust components, turbo housings, or any metal that can handle a cure temperature of 600F (except Magnesium) These coating also work great on ATV, Snowmobile, Street or Dirt Bike exhaust systems.
